KAZI stores what you log so you can track your nutrition. We don't sell your data, we don't show ads, and you can delete everything in-app any time (Profile, Settings, Delete account).
• Account: your email and display name. • Profile you enter: age or date of birth, sex, height, weight, activity level, and goals. • Your log: the foods, meals, portions, and body-weight entries you record. • Support: if you email us, your message plus any app version and device details you include.
To run the app: save and sync your log across your devices, calculate calorie and macro targets, and answer support requests. We don't build advertising profiles.
On your device and, when you have an account, in our backend hosted by Supabase. Access is protected per user (row-level security), so one account can't read another's. Traffic is encrypted in transit (HTTPS/TLS).
When you search or scan, we send the search text or barcode to Open Food Facts and USDA FoodData Central to look up nutrition. We do not send your identity, email, or log with those lookups.
Photo logging and “describe a meal” are optional. When you use them, the photo or text you provide is sent through our secure server to our AI provider (Anthropic’s Claude) to estimate the foods and their macros. We don’t attach your name or email, and it is not used to show you ads or to train the provider’s models. Results are AI estimates you confirm before anything is logged. If you don’t use these features, nothing is sent to the AI provider.
We do not sell your data or share it with advertisers. We share it only with the providers needed to run the app (such as Supabase, and our AI provider for the optional AI features), and only as required to operate the service or by law.
Edit or delete individual entries any time. Delete your whole account in-app, which removes your cloud records and clears local data. Depending on where you live, you may have extra rights to access or export your data. Email us and we'll help.
We keep your data until you delete it. Deleting your account removes your profile and log from our backend.
KAZI is intended for adults (18+) and is not directed to children. We do not knowingly collect data from anyone under 18.
KAZI is for general wellness and education. Nutrition figures are estimates and are not medical advice. Consult a professional before changing your diet.
If we update this policy we'll revise the date above and, for significant changes, notify you in the app.
